MULTI-SIGNAL INTELLIGENCE

How does AI visibility tracking work?

AI visibility tracking platform measures how AI engines describe and recommend your brand, and why.

Every week, our platform asks the questions your buyers ask, across six AI engines and the markets you sell in. It records where you appear, how you are described, and which sources shape the answer.

What is an AI visibility tracking platform?

An AI visibility tracking platform measures how a brand appears inside AI-generated answers: whether assistants mention it, where it ranks against competitors, how it is described, and which sources the model drew on. Search Bridge does this across three tracking layers, Competitive, Deep and Technical, then turns the findings into prioritised Activations.

Three layers of tracking intelligence

LAYER 01

Competitive Tracking: where you stand

Visibility share against competitors, on the questions buyers ask.

You define intents. An intent is a real buying scenario rather than a keyword, such as “comparing CRM software for mid-market teams”. The platform expands each intent into 10 question variations a real user might type. Those questions run against every configured engine and market, and the answers are read as rankings.

Competitive Tracking ranking view, showing visibility share by engine and market

Three rules make the data usable

Your brand name never enters the intent
Naming a brand in the question makes the model likelier to mention it. Intents are built brand-neutral, so the ranking reflects what AI does on its own.
Rankings are read, not forced
The platform does not push models into a fixed output format. A typical answer names between 3 and 12 brands, and that is what gets recorded.
Everything is sliced by engine and market
The same intent can put you first in Italy and nowhere in France. You see both.

What it measures

Share of AI Visibility
The share of relevant AI answers in which your brand appears, weighted by position, relative to every brand in the ranking. Also called visibility share.
Average Ranking
Your average position in the answers where you appear.
Citations
The percentage of answers that mention your brand at all.
Trend
The direction of all three over time, run against run.

The position weighting is published rather than hidden. A brand scores (total brands in the ranking − position + 1), and zero when it is absent. Share of AI Visibility is the sum of your scores divided by the sum of all brands’ scores.

LAYER 02

Deep Tracking: why AI says it

Inside the knowledge graph, at entity level.

Competitive Tracking tells you that you are missing. Deep Tracking tells you what AI actually knows about you, and it works even when your brand appears in no ranking at all.

The Brand Perception Module scores six core KPIs from 0 to 100, against industry-calibrated benchmarks.

The six core KPIs

Awareness
Does AI know the brand exists, and in what depth?
Clarity
Does AI understand what the brand actually does?
Trust
Does AI treat the brand as credible?
Uniqueness
Does AI see what makes the brand different?
Advocacy
Does AI actively recommend the brand?
Sentiment

Six KPIs is where every brand starts. Preset Modules add their own on top, covering Sustainability, Heritage and Craftsmanship, Product Innovation, Customer Experience, Thought Leadership and more. Custom Modules let you define the dimension yourself. A flagship product, a single market, a new collection, a service line, or any KPI your business treats as strategic. No fixed metric set decides what matters to your brand.

LAYER 03

Technical Tracking: can AI read you?

A site can be perfect for humans and unreadable to machines.

A crawler analyses your domain from an AI system’s point of view. It returns one score from 0 to 100, broken into three scored areas, with the full list of issues found.

Every issue becomes a technical Activation with a description your developers can act on.

Technical Tracking score broken into Discoverability, Navigability and Content Clarity
Discoverability
sitemap.xml, robots.txt, llm.txt, schema.org structured data, Open Graph tags and the other signals AI systems use to find and index pages.
Navigability
Autonomous LLM agents start at your homepage and try to reach the pages that matter, such as About, Contact and Products. The score is how many of them get there.
Content Clarity
Page text is converted into vector embeddings and compared against your brand’s defining variables, measuring how clearly the site communicates what you are.

Source Intelligence explained

A number with no evidence behind it is an opinion. When a KPI moves, the platform records the reasons the models gave and the URLs they drew on. Those are filed as strengths or weaknesses you can open and read.

Source Intelligence classifies every source behind an answer

Primary
Brand-controlled. Your website and official content
Secondary
Third-party authority. Publications, media, industry references
UGC
User-generated. Reviews, forums, social
Competitor
Competitor-controlled sources shaping the category answer
The knowledge graph

Underneath sits a knowledge graph. Every run writes the scores, the positive and negative reasons behind them, and the source URLs, as connected nodes. Activations link to the specific negative reasons they are meant to resolve. When a score improves, the platform knows which work moved it. That is what makes the intelligence compound month over month, for your brand, inside your isolated database.

From tracking to Activations

Dashboards and views
Every metric filters by AI engine, by market and over time. Charts show run-over-run movement, with the change against the previous run on every data point. Full history is retained.
Activations
Prioritised, brand-specific actions generated from your own intelligence rather than a generic playbook. Each one carries a title, a description, the data that triggered it, an expected impact, a timeframe, and a type, either onsite or offsite. They move through To Do, In Progress, Done and Rejected in Kanban, list or analytics view. Completion is tracked against the scores that follow.
Priority you can audit
Activation priority is calculated, and the weighting is public. Competitive Tracking counts 3, Technical Tracking counts 2, a KPI signal counts 1, with a bonus each time another layer confirms the same problem. An issue confirmed by all three layers outranks an issue seen once. That is what correlating three signal layers is for.
Generation modes
Generate a full plan across everything, target specific underperforming KPIs, or work only from the technical issue list. Filter by country. A run takes minutes.
Reviews and reporting
AI guidance sessions with the AI Experts Team on every tier, plus an AI visibility strategy review on Signature, and custom reporting.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

You have questions, we have answers.

What is an AI visibility tracking platform?

It is a platform that measures how a brand appears inside AI-generated answers. It tracks whether assistants mention the brand, where it ranks against competitors, how it is described, and which sources the answer drew on. Search Bridge adds the technical layer and the actions.

Which AI engines does Search Bridge track?

ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Copilot. Each tier activates a defined set of engines, and coverage expands on request. As buyer adoption shifts between assistants, coverage follows.

How does Search Bridge measure AI visibility?

Through three metrics. Share of AI Visibility is your position-weighted share of the brands named in relevant answers. Average Ranking is your mean position where you appear. Citations is the percentage of answers that mention you at all.

What is the difference between prompt tracking and intent tracking?

Prompt tracking asks a fixed list of questions, so a badly chosen prompt produces misleading data. Intent tracking starts from what the buyer is trying to do, then generates 10 question variations covering that intent, across every engine and market.

How often is the data updated?

Weekly on every tier, with on-demand runs on Signature. Every run is stored with full history, so you can see movement between runs and across quarters.

How does Search Bridge know why AI says what it says?

Deep Tracking interrogates the knowledge graph at entity level rather than only reading answers. It records the reasons behind each KPI score, and the sources that produced them, classified as primary, secondary, user-generated or competitor.

Which markets and languages can you track?

From one country on Select to unlimited on Signature, each tracked in its own language and market context, with every metric filterable by country. Intents and technical benchmarks are configured per market.

How is this different from an SEO platform’s AI visibility report?

SEO platforms were built to measure page rankings and have added AI reporting on top. Search Bridge was built for AI answers: intent-based measurement, entity-level perception analysis, source attribution, and prioritised Activations in one system.

Does Search Bridge work for my industry?

The platform is industry-agnostic, because the mechanics of AI recommendation are the same everywhere. Modules, intents and technical benchmarks are configured per brand. The team has deep experience in fashion and luxury, consulting, manufacturing and design.

Is my data private?

Yes. Each brand’s intelligence sits in an isolated database, held in European infrastructure. Search Bridge is ISO 27001 certified, GDPR-native, AI Act Ready and a Benefit Corporation.
